Chicken and egg, the problem with demanding 12–15%+ on stables is that it’s the same logic that pushed allocators to chase risk just to clear hurdle rates We were constantly asked to deliver 15%+ on stables but that is achieved by two things: 1. Taking on higher tail risk in either exotic collateral or looping -> results in systemic risk 2. Stacking native token rewards from multiple protocols -> results in the TGE and token investing environment we have now The best long-term answer is to compress risk in the first place. Using the framework here: - Tech risk is compressed with more transparent and standardized operational tooling around smart contracts - Oracle risk is compressed with better onchain safeguards, circuit breakers, etc. in newer protocol designs - Gov/admin is compressed with better separation of powers onchain and security practices - Regulatory is compressed with non-custodial, decentralized products and increasingly traditional investment managers/advisors entering the space - Depeg/liquidity is compressed with standardized underwriting and better monitoring and automations And if we fix above, composability becomes a superpower again, not risk premia

Superform is one of the most active DAOs in DeFi with 238 votes on its latest proposal, SIP-5, authorizing institutional rewards. Check out the overview from @SnapshotLabs ⬇️
Snapshot.eth@SnapshotLabs

@superformxyz is voting to redirect up to 50M $UP toward institutional vault curators - firms that compete quarterly to bring sustained capital into the protocol - while tapering retail depositor rewards. The @SuperformFND argues curator-led growth aligns better with long-term revenue than broad retail emissions. The top 5 curators each quarter, ranked by assets deposited, split rewards of 250K / 125K / 62.5K / 25K / 12.5K $UP. One-year minimum commitment. First competition starts Q2 2026. Retail rewards taper rather than vanish, from 2.5M $UP this epoch down to 500K by Epoch 8. Future vault emissions starting Epoch 5: - 70% stablecoin vaults - 20% ETH and L1 vaults - 10% BTC vaults The Foundation weighted the split toward stablecoin vaults because they say those generate the strongest protocol revenue. One voter pushed back, arguing ETH depositors shouldn't earn less than stablecoin depositors - "if ETH price increase it's not normal to earn less than a stablecoin stakers, stablecoin inflation is more big then ETH inflation." 99.3% For across 238 voters. Vote closes April 24. Proposal: snapshot.box/#/s:superformf…

Flagship SuperWETH on Ethereum has a small exposure to rsETH through Karpatkey Morpho vaults and the Makina DETH April 26 PT. Our current estimate of this exposure is ~50 ETH, which is ~1.7% of the vault. We are actively working to reduce any remaining exposure and are monitoring any third-order effects. Deposits and withdrawals into Flagship SuperWETH have been paused until there is further clarity around the backing/status of rsETH or until the vault is fully deallocated. All other SuperVaults are unaffected and continue to function normally.
