Blade Tidwell works the final three innings and earns his first big-league save, against his former team.

Vitello used Walker in the sixth reasoning that might be the most high leverage situation of the game and liking the extreme contrast between Ray and Walker, makes an interesting point that teams are often excited to see a very good starter leave (& seldom see a closer type next)

Tidwell got doused with beer, mustard ketchup etc after his first save, and says he nearly threw up. “I don’t like sauce,” he says. (Me neither so I get it.)

@AlexRus5306 I didn't hear him say that, per say, but he has indicated he might not *name* a closer, which is a little different.

After a rough one yesterday, Casey Schmitt has three hits and a walk tonight and just made a great leaping grab at first and stepped on the bag for an inning-ending double play.
