In 2022 Watertown Detective Kathleen Donahue won a $4 million discrimination suit, alleging that Michael Lawn, State Rep John Lawn's brother, used his power and position to isolate her and to invite her to engage in intimate relations over the course of four years, from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to the drunk driving allegations, State Rep Mike Lawn has yet to answer questions about his ties to the 2011 Waltham murder investigation involving Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
