@toprefgeorge @TheHoofballPod @FAWales @NoelMooney13 Some league and association administrators are receiving sizeable honorariums. Trim those, and suddenly there’s far less need to raise funds just to cover end of season payouts. Maybe then there’d be a clearer understanding of the real pressures facing clubs and the volunteers.

@toprefgeorge @TheHoofballPod @FAWales @NoelMooney13 We all know £2 per player goes to leagues, so why not remove it and ease the burden on participants? Leagues have significant reserves and generate income through fines during the season. Meanwhile, clubs are still relying on volunteers, yet face increasing financial pressure.

@toprefgeorge @TheHoofballPod @FAWales @NoelMooney13 Why are some leagues claiming non-profit status while holding large reserves and paying substantial honorariums for admin roles that club volunteers handle for free? Before increasing costs for participants, maybe it’s time to review how much funding is going to leagues.

@TheHoofballPod @FAWales When you consider 5pd reg fee junior player - 2pd of that goes back to the league junior plays in- 3pd is a 12 month insurance fee. Senior 2pd back to league 8pd insurance fee . Costs are very cheap and not sustainable by @FAWales @NoelMooney13 .

@SouthWalesFA @RhydAFC If it did, and it’s to ensure league completion by April 30 for Tier 6 promotion, that’s a fair reason Though it would be prudent to explore cups restarting and still being played throughout May. Let’s cut out the behind closed doors decisions and be open. 2/2

@SouthWalesFA @RhydAFC Unsure what needs investigating here let’s have transparent conversations. Has the SWFA advised the TERV League to suspend its cup competitions? It either happened or it didn’t. 1/2

@SouthWalesFA can you explain why you have stopped our league from playing a Cup competition. We received the email stating this.

@PorthQuinsFC @FAWales Hearing @SouthWalesFA are letting FAW use VAR for the @SWPLInfo play-offs again this season as well. Wasn’t this a one-off last time? Clubs didn’t enjoy it and grassroots refs miss out so the elite step in. As long as those at the top are happy, everyone else just accept it.

@PorthQuinsFC @FAWales Grassroots is being squeezed out. Decision after decision ignores the people who actually care, with little consultation and zero collaboration. At this rate, it’s turning into a game for the elite — and that’s not what it should be.

FAW increasing player registration fees 🙈 What will participants see in return? Will the FAW invest the money or is it just to top up their accounts 🙄

The @FAWales need to take a hard look at themselves. How can they advertise a fully working sensory room for tonight’s game (with the viewing room of the pitch) and then inform us a few hours before kick off this isn’t available due to it ‘being sold to hospitality’. 1/2

@NoelMooney13 All sounds positive on paper, and it’s encouraging to see a strategy for improving grassroots facilities, hopefully all LAs buy in. Facilities remain the biggest barrier to growth. But concerning there’s no mention of match officials. A key stakeholder with no clear plan. ⚽

@superkeeperno1 Not sure what the issue is — I asked a genuine question as I’m clueless why you’ve been out so long. I’m not local to Baglan so I’m not exactly sure what “the Arms” is, but I’ll be sure to ask you the same when I see you at a game soon 🤷🏻‍♂️ All the best for the rest of your season.

@andy_gulley @ArdalSouthern Agreed - didn’t appreciate the mobbing behaviour of airport at half time but I do think they had a point regarding the field being awful, that said the referee also folded to their pressure. If he was able to play to half time safely then why not to the conclusion of the game

@SWGroundHopper @ArdalSouthern Airport were never in the game, 2nd to everything and at halftime their bench had a hissy fit with the ref and managed to get the game called off, a game they weren’t interested in playing when they turned up tbh

Taffs Well take on Cardiff Airport at the Gentles Construction Stadium tonight, 13th v 7th in the Elite Stands Ardal Southern South West table, kick off 7.30pm. Taffs Well earned an important 2-1 win last week at Treherbert Boys & Girls Club, taking the lead on 38 minutes through Harry Gidman from an assist from Captain Jac Simpson. However the home side equalised a minute before the interval to make it all square. However Gidman was on hand to score after great work from Jae Robinson on 55 minutes and this is how the game remained for Taffs Well to take the points. The previous week Taffs Well had draw 2-2 at home to Cardiff Corinthians. Lee Price had put Taffs Well ahead on 41 minutes after good work from Robert Jones, before the visitors equalised a minute later. Taffs Well them found themselves 2-1 behind on 48 minutes before Sebastian Thomas saved the day to earn a point equalising on 63 minutes from a Louie Crowe assist. Cardiff Airport will be looking to address a losing streak having lost their last 6 games. Last weekend they lost 5-0 at home to Clydach to follow a 4-1 defeat the previous week at inform Ynysgerwn. A goal down after just 5 minutes Airport equalised through Scott Dabusco on 9 minutes from a Callum Huggins assist. However goals on 11, 25 and 52 minutes sealed their fate. In their previous two games they had been unlucky not to pick up any points, losing by solitary goals to both Penrhiwceiber Rangers and Evans & Williams.

@nigeljbircham @Taffswellfc As a neutral, the result means nothing to me. The roll and bounce at half-time were no different to kick-off. It shouldn’t have started. Fans out of pocket, pitch ruined, and both teams left with a mess to sort. Poor decision.

@nigeljbircham @Taffswellfc I don’t agree with you often Nigel but on this one you are absolutely spot on. What concerned me was that he played until half time, if the pitch is unplayable or player safety is at risk that it shouldn’t have been forced through to half time.
