The Senate map math isn't easy. But we're not in a normal political environment. Trump's approval is underwater. Dems are overperforming in specials from NJ and VA to WI and GA. Every major forecaster has Democrats leading the generic ballot.

At this time last year, it didn’t seem possible—but winning the Senate is within reach. Republicans currently hold a 53–47 Senate majority. Of the 35 seats up in 2026, 22 are held by Republicans and 13 by Democrats.
