Sword has been granted a new core U.S. patent for its AI Care Model. When clinicians treat patients, they don’t just follow a static script; they learn from every interaction, refining their approach based on what works. Achieving that same kind of continuous, safe evolution in healthcare AI has been a major challenge. Our patented system is designed to solve the “static model” problem. Instead of relying on a one-time training phase, our engine learns simultaneously from two critical signals: → Clinician validation of AI-generated recommendations → Real-world patient outcomes captured through our platform This dual-feedback approach allows our AI to adapt safely and intelligently, improving its recommendations as more care is delivered. And by keeping a human in the loop, we ensure every leap in autonomous learning remains grounded in licensed clinical oversight. Read more in our newsroom: swordhealth.com/newsroom/sword…

Today we’re launching Sword Research: a new space for technical deep dives from the team behind our AI Care solutions. The first article is a behind-the-scenes look at how we built Phoenix - read it here: swordhealth.com/research Inside, our Lead ML engineer, Diogo Gonçalves, breaks down: > real-time voice interactions during care sessions > the low-latency architecture behind Phoenix > the memory system that enables continuity across sessions > the clinical safety guardrails built into the system > the Phoenix ↔ Clinical Specialist feedback loop > how we validate and monitor performance in production Check it out, and drop any questions in the comments.

Today we’re announcing Sword’s new AI Care Platform: one connected care experience across musculoskeletal care, women’s health, mental health, and cardiometabolic care. Healthcare today is fragmented. Members bounce between disconnected programs and specialists, repeat their history, redo intake forms, and often get routed too late or to the wrong place. Conditions that are deeply connected are still treated as separate problems. That fragmentation hurts members first: it creates delays, frustration, and gaps in care. But it also drives huge costs for employers and payors, through vendor sprawl, disconnected clinical data, duplicate tests and unnecessary escalations. Sword’s AI Care Platform is built to solve that. It brings care together in one platform, guided by Phoenix, our AI Care Specialist, with continuous clinician oversight, one clinical memory and one connected experience across programs, 24/7. Members can be guided to the right care path, move across solutions without starting over, and access high-quality care faster, more easily, and at a fraction of the cost. And when the best next step is not one of Sword’s AI Care solutions, the platform can also route members to high-quality traditional care, helping guide each person to the path most likely to deliver the best outcome at the lowest cost. Watch the video to see it in action - or, if you’re in New York, stop by our booth at Conference Board to see it live.

Today we’re launching Sword Pulse - our new, always-on AI cardiometabolic solution, built to support hypertension, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, weight management, and GLP-1 care in one integrated experience. Cardiometabolic disease is one of the largest and fastest-growing health cost categories in the U.S., affecting more than half of American adults and costing over $400B a year. Across our platform, we were already seeing how closely MSK and cardiometabolic health overlap: in one solution, 3 out of 4 members were overweight or obese, and more than half had a cardiometabolic condition. Supporting them well meant building something that matched the complexity of their needs, and didn’t disappear between appointments, only to pick back up six months later. Pulse combines Phoenix, our AI Care Specialist, with dedicated clinical support to help members improve daily habits across nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress, with connected devices, ongoing monitoring, and guidance that adapts over time. A new independently reviewed study found that Sword Predict delivered a claims-validated 5x ROI by identifying high-risk members early and enabling timely intervention. Read it here: swordhealth.com/reports-and-gu… Predict uses AI to analyze millions of population-level data points - including medical claims, pharmacy, and prior authorizations -, and adds broader context, like where members live, who they see, and their clinical history. This helps identify people trending toward high-cost events early, so Sword can reach them sooner through a white-glove concierge approach (often the hardest members to engage) and connect them to proven conservative care. Avoidable escalation and surgery are not just a cost problem for employers and health plans; they're also a better outcome for millions of people. That’s why Sword Predict exists. And, yes, to make your CFO happy too.

Today, we're announcing the next evolution of Sword Thrive: a fully revamped experience anchored by a new conversational care model, Vision AI, and a more powerful Phoenix. At the center of this evolution is a first-of-its-kind care model: a 3-way chat connecting the member, Phoenix, and their Doctor of Physical Therapy in a single interface, making continuous, 24/7 care possible for the first time, with the clinical oversight only a human specialist can provide. Vision AI, our proprietary technology trained on years of movement data, now delivers precise movement detection in real-world home environments - cluttered, noisy, and everything in between - and runs entirely through the Sword Health app on smartphones and tablets. Phoenix, our AI Care Specialist, is now more capable as well, providing deeper, personalized two-way conversational guidance and real-time form correction, adapting to each member as they move. From proactive care to continuous recovery, this is how healthcare should show up: with reliability, clinical memory, and real-time support that never drops the thread. Today we’re introducing Arbor: a framework for reliable navigation of critical conversation flows. When a patient describes a complex web of symptoms, a clinician instinctively knows which path to take: asking the right questions in the right order to reach a safe conclusion. For AI, keeping that same procedural adherence without breaking the natural flow of conversation has been a real challenge. Arbor is designed to fix that instability in structured clinical workflows. Instead of forcing a model to “memorize” an entire decision tree in one prompt, Arbor decomposes navigation into specialized, node-level tasks. In real-world clinical triage conversations, Arbor delivered +𝟮𝟵𝗽𝗽 navigation accuracy, -𝟱𝟳% latency, and 𝟭𝟰.𝟰× lower cost vs. single-prompt baselines. Read more: swordhealth.com/newsroom/arbor…

There is a world where health never limits human potential. 𝗦𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟮. We proved AI could treat physical pain better than the traditional system. 700,000+ members. 10 million AI Care sessions. $1 billion in costs eliminated. The mission, it turns out, is much larger. Sword has evolved into three pillars: a clinical-centric frontier AI lab; Sword Health, reinventing how the world is treated and healed; and Sword Intelligence, scaling healthcare operations globally. Together, they give us the ability to go after every major problem in healthcare. That evolution demanded a new mission. "Freeing the world from pain" got us here. But when your ambition expands to solving all of healthcare, your mission has to expand with it. Build AI that heals billions and unlock humanity's full potential. Because treating billions isn't just a healthcare goal - it's a human one. New mission. New operating model. New home. Welcome to sword.com
