SYND is for the first time now available on @AerodromeFi on @base. The SYND/WETH pool is open on Aerodrome, emissions are flowing, and the market is building liquidity in real-time. This is what a Community-First Launch looks like.

Why didn't custom chains exist 10 years ago? Because wallets and nodes were the same thing. One breaking change meant every user re-syncing for hours or days. Watch @WillPapper at EthCC on why chain customization is only possible now.

The question was never whether execution runs offchain—it already does. It's whether it can be synced, verified, and constrained by onchain guarantees without sacrificing speed.

So teams build custom sync infra: relayers, retry queues, indexers, reconciliation workers, reorg handlers. The sync layer becomes its own distributed system. Most engineering hours go to plumbing, not product.

Real-time crypto apps quietly centralize—not from lack of conviction, but architecture. Order books, perp DEXs, prediction markets need millisecond execution. Fully onchain doesn't just slow them down. It breaks them before they start. ↓

The next wave of onchain apps won't be written in Solidity. They'll be written in Python, Go, Rust—and synced onchain automatically.

Web2 development in 2026: vibe-code an app in a weekend, deploy to Vercel, use whatever database you want, ship. Web3 development in 2026: pick a chain, rewrite logic in Solidity, build an indexer (again), pray it scales.

This is the infrastructure problem we've been thinking about. You should be able to write to a database and have state sync to the chain—reliably, atomically, verifiably. We're building toward this. More soon.

A real solution would let you write application logic against a database and automatically sync the relevant state to the chain with consistency guarantees, delivery confirmation, and a verifiable audit trail. No custom glue code, no reconciliation jobs.

Every crypto app that works at scale has a sync problem underneath. Keeping database state consistent with onchain state is one of the hardest infrastructure problems in the stack. Here's the issue ↓
