Hosted by @Y_Advocates and facilitated by @unicefrw , this crucial session focused on strengthening safeguarding policies, accountability, and protection systems within youth-led NGOs. She also highlighted the need for urgency, accountability, and stronger collaboration to ensure that opportunities reach all Rwandans, regardless of background or location. These reflections strongly align with the ongoing national commitment to strengthen skills development, expand opportunities, and promote inclusive economic growth. Happening now: Hon. Minister @CNkulikiyinka led the observance of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, bringing together stakeholders including @RSSB_Rwanda, @WHO, @RBCRwanda and @PSF_Rwanda to reflect on advancing safe, healthy, and productive workplaces across all sectors. Held under the theme "Promoting wellness at work for sustainable productivity" the event, highlighted the critical link between employee well being and institutional performance. Discussions emphasized that occupational safety and health goes beyond the prevention of workplace accidents to include physical health, mental and psychosocial well-being, inclusive work environments, and strengthened organizational practices that support work life balance and employee engagement. The engagement further underscored the importance of strengthening prevention mechanisms, enhancing compliance with safety standards, and reinforcing a culture of safety at all levels. It also highlighted the role of Occupational Safety and Health Committees in identifying risks and promoting workplace well-being. Hon. Last week, @TicoRwanda proudly participated in an intensive five-day capacity-strengthening training on Early Childhood Development (ECD) pillars, organized by @unicefrw in partnership with @Rwanda_Child and @rwamrec in @MusanzeDistrict . Under the project “Strengthening the Parenting Education Programme through ECD Centres: Transforming Gender Norms through Edutainment and Men’s Engagement,” this training was more than just learning - it was a call to action. We explored how positive parenting and active father engagement can transform families, challenge harmful gender norms, and create nurturing environments where every child can thrive. At TICO, we are committed to turning this knowledge into impact by strengthening our role in advancing ECD and promoting inclusive, gender-transformative parenting across communities. This is a strong and timely commitment to advancing decent work, inclusive labour markets, and social protection in Rwanda. These priorities are essential for promoting safe, productive, and inclusive employment opportunities, especially for young people entering the workforce. Continued collaboration between government and ILO will be key in strengthening sustainable job creation and protecting workers’ rights.

Yesterday, 21 April 2026, Hon. Minister @CNkulikiyinka hosted an ILO delegation led by Ms. Valérie Schmitt, Deputy Director for Universal Social Protection at ILO HQ. They discussed the implementation of Rwanda's National Roadmap under the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions. Focus was put on: implementation priorities, mobilizing resources, and identifying strategic entry points to accelerate job creation and strengthen social protection systems. Over the course of two impactful days (24th–25th March 2026), @TicoRwanda engaged in a transformative training on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), organized by @chbrwanda in partnership with @UnescoEast and @RBCRwanda. At TICO, we are proud to see youth-led organizations strengthening their capacity to design, monitor, and evaluate CSE interventions across Rwanda. Through interactive sessions, participants explored real-life challenges affecting young people using tools like problem and objective tree analysis to uncover root causes and craft practical, solution-driven responses. The training also enhanced skills in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), equipping young leaders with the ability to set clear indicators, define baselines, and use data to measure impact and drive informed action.
