VIDEO | Delhi: On inauguration of city’s first all-women police station at north Delhi’s Subzi Mandi area, Special Commissioner (Law & Order) for Zone-I, Devesh Kumar Srivastava says, "Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and the Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha inaugurated the women's police station here, and it will gradually be implemented across all districts. This women's police station will deal with all crimes against women. However, the responsibilities of the other local police stations will not decrease; they will continue to perform their regular duties. This facility consists of two buildings for inquiries and investigations. As the volume of cases increases, the required staff will be deployed to manage the workload so that there is no overburdening. Every district will have similar police stations. Lakshmi Singh will serve as the first SHO (Station House Officer) here, and ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) for Crime Against Women, Jamuna Thapa, will also be posted here.
