A psychiatrist provided supervision to 29 prescribers, and mental health services were delivered to 44 service users, including support for complex cases. We appreciate the continued collaboration of both municipalities in strengthening community mental health services.

TPO Nepal, in collaboration with Likhu RM and Champadevi RM, conducted a one-day clinical supervision and refresher training for prescribers on 22 and 24 March 2026 under the PSR Finland-funded “Strengthening and Expanding Mental Health Care in Nepal” project.

Participants provided feedback on the draft facilitator’s guideline, shared key challenges faced in medico-legal and autopsy practices at the field level, and outlined strategic recommendations and way forward for finalization and effective integration into medical education.

The workshop convened the Director General of Ministry of Health and Population, Director and officials from NHTC, forensic experts, representatives from academia and hospitals, PHTCs, Nepal Medical Council, Office of the Attorney General, and Nepal Police Headquarters.

National Health Training Center, with support from TPO Nepal and UNFPA under GBBPV II Project, conducted a one-day consultation workshop to Finalize the Facilitators Guide on Medico Legal and Autopsy Procedure on 17 February 2026 in Kathmandu.
