Terrible automatic translations are so much fun when they cause no one harm 😆 Here’s one I saw in Japan last week. Instead of a better, more natural phrase that tells the user what kind of coins or bills are accepted by the machine, it said 접수 가능한 김 씨 😆😆😆🤣 Better phrases: - 사용 가능 지폐/동전 - 사용 가능 - 투입 가능 etc. And definitely not anything related to 김 씨.

😆🇰🇷 Here’s a fun Korean contraction that your Korean friends might know where it came from: 마찬가지 마찬가지 means “the same case” or “no different”. And it actually came from 마치 + 한 가지. 마치 = as if, almost like 한 가지 = one kind, one type, one thing So it means that there’s no difference between two situations, cases, or conditions. Here are a few sample sentences to help you understand its usage better.
