The Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) recently selected Meredith Sigler, PharmD, to serve on a technical expert panel supporting development of a new health plan measure: Evidence of Guideline-Directed Medical Therapy in Persons with Heart Failure. Congratulations, Dr. Sigler!

Jennifer Mejil, PharmD, was selected as the '26 Bowl of Hygeia recipient, an honor given to the graduate who best exemplifies the most desirable qualities in a pharmacist, including leadership, high ethical standards, dedication & promotion of the profession. Congrats, Dr. Mejil!

Last week, @TTUHSCSOP faculty and staff gathered at the @TTUHSCamarillo campus for a retreat. Team members took part in team building, development, a service project, and training, an awards dinner, the 30th Anniversary Celebration and graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2026.

This year, @TTUHSCSOP proudly marks three decades of preparing pharmacists who are improving lives throughout Texas & beyond. Thank you to our team members, alumni and supporters who gathered in Amarillo this month for the anniversary celebration honoring 30 years of excellence.

Amal Aburahma, PhD, and Chris Selby, PharmD, received the Outstanding Faculty Awards for the @TTUHSCSOP from the Student Government Association (SGA). SGA also recognized the Lifestyle Medicine Discussion Series developed by Drs. Alaina Van Dyke, Rachel Basinger and Carly Lacey.

Nusaiba Hamsho, PharmD, earned the honor of being Banner Bearer for the Class of 2026. The Banner Bearer is a title conferred upon the top-ranking graduate of the class. Congratulations, Dr. Hamsho!

The TTUHSC Rural Cancer Collaborative (RCC) recently awarded $300,000 in funding to Co-PIs are Devin Lowe, PhD, and Laurence Wood, PhD, for their Listeria-based immunotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer project. Congratulations, Drs. Lowe and Wood!

🎓Congrats to the @TTUHSCSOP Class of 2026, who received their degrees on 5/16. Of the 86 graduates, 30 are headed to residency programs, 1 will go on to a fellowship program, 1 earned an honors in research designation, 20 earned PharmD/MBA and 2 earned PharmD/MPH dual degrees.
