I have been in Dubai for about a week now and have experienced this war situation very closely. There is no doubt that the UAE authorities have done an exceptional job in managing an extremely difficult situation. The results are evident. While people are understandably concerned, I have not seen any sense of panic whatsoever. Over the past two days I visited some of the largest malls in Dubai and they continue to function normally. Yes, footfall is lower than usual, but life is largely going on as it should. Once this war is over, Dubai will remain an attractive destination for many. The lifestyle it offers, combined with the extraordinary systems and infrastructure the authorities have built to facilitate residents and businesses, gives it a resilience that is often underestimated. For context, I do not own any property in Dubai, so this observation comes without any personal stake.
