4.1 Update - RPC, explorer have been shut down The RPC cluster, rpc.mainnet.taraxa.io, and the explorer and its indexers, mainnet.explorer.taraxa.io have been shut down, utilities dependent on these (e.g., community.taraxa.io) have been shut down as well.

4. Volunteer-operated RPC, Explorer, Snapshot Generator to be shut down soon The RPC cluster, rpc.mainnet.taraxa.io, will be shut down. This means anything that depends on this RPC endpoint, such as wallets, will soon stop working. Every single Taraxa node is an RPC by default, if you wish to access an RPC endpoint you can simply run a node. The explorer and its indexers, mainnet.explorer.taraxa.io, will be shut down. The snapshot generator will be shut down. This was built to help light node operators avoid the long pruning times with a ready-made daily state db snapshot.

The following volunteer-run infrastructure will be shut down to help minimize costs. This is an ongoing list, each piece of infrastructure shut down will have its own thread post below. Cost optimization measures are still ongoing, we hope to be able to save the RPC & Explorer.

2.5 Update - all volunteer operated nodes unstaked The Foundation has unstaked from the last 3 remaining validator nodes operated by the former Taraxa dev team (now volunteers).

1.5 Update - Bridge relayer shut down The Relayer has been shut down as of Feb 23, 2026. To avoid any potential future malicious tampering that could impact the Taraxa mainnet, the bridge contract on Taraxa's side has been updated to point to an empty function. All bridge related code is open source in our github repo.

Due to lack of sponsors, our partner has decided to shut down the Github Sponsor page. Our volunteers will now optimize costs by prioritizing the most critical infrastructure. All Taraxa infrastructure are open-source, anyone can run them to keep critical services alive.

True finality on Taraxa's mainnet stabilized @ ~1.5s, a huge improvement over the ~3.7s we had before. This was obtained with highly conservative VDF difficulty boundaries to minimize potential network disruption. With a more aggressive VDF difficulty, we can easily achieve sub-second finality - a world first on a non-leader-based consensus protocol. This was calculated for the 10k block range between PBFT blocks 24978606 and 24988606. 🥂🥂

🌵Taraxa Cacti Upgrade Activated🌵 The upgrade has been activated on mainnet as of ~39 hours ago. Everything's running smoothly so far, and there's already a ~1 second reduction in PBFT block time, we'll continue to watch the network closely.

Hi everyone! We’re sharing the latest updates around @taraxa_project and our overall activity. By the end of this month, we will be launching the full Gaming AI Accelerator website. For now, we’re sharing a few preview screenshots to show the direction and structure, but the platform itself is being built as a complete environment for creating, incubating, and scaling AI-focused projects on Taraxa, with a strong emphasis on gaming. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing more updates as the website moves closer to launch, so please keep an eye out for further announcements. As part of this initiative, we’ll be working on training models using dedicated infrastructure, including on server-side optimization with @nvidia . We are building and operating our own purchased server infrastructure, which will also be available to host and support partner projects. Our proprietary AI model is being developed on top of the strongest models currently available on the market, adapted for our specific use cases. In addition, we’d like to mention that special updates are also coming soon for the @0xPolygon and @SkaleNetwork blockchains. More details on those initiatives will be shared shortly.
