Burkina Faso has officially lifted its ban on exporting fresh tomatoes. This decision followed discussions between Ghana's Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and her Burkinabè counterparts during the WTO MC14 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The move is expected to offer immediate relief to Ghanaian markets, which were facing potential shortages and price hikes due to heavy reliance on tomato imports from Burkina Faso.
