Draw every day, even if it is just 10 or 15 minutes. Consistency matters. Set a timer and create something; you dont to be perfect. There is never a need to be perfect when it comes to art. Quantity now, builds quality art later. Keep practicing because it'll be so worth it.

why is there actually, legitimately, discourse around reading speed right now “8 hours to read a book is slow” “you should be able to read a book in 3-5 hours” bro we are in a literacy CRISIS, i do not care how fast or slow you read a book, just pick one up and read it

People putting their own experiences in their OCs doesn't make them self inserts. People write what they know, and they will improve over time. Expressing yourself is what art is about. Mocking even immature attempts is snobby and rude.

How do artists engage with their mutuals and audience? I want people to remember my presence and my name and i dont want to just be a guy who posts once a week and disappears, is posting non-art tweets and talking and actively interacting with your mutuals the only way?

being a good artist doesn't automatically make you a good writer. there are a lot of artists who make really cool art but they can't write and that's fine
