Our Community Nutrition team has been busy! Staff recently provided technical assistance to Courtland Grocery corner store )15th & W Courtland St.) to introduce smoothies to their menu. Free samples were given out to gather community feedback & inform flavors, pricing & more.

One of the pillars of The Food Trust's programming is affordability: ensuring that no one has to choose between eating healthy and eating enough. Watch our video to learn more about the program, or visit thefoodtrust.org/foodbucks for additional information.

And in November 2025, Pennsylvania made a historic $2 million investment in Food Bucks, allowing the program to reach more counties and neighborhoods across the commonwealth.

In the summer of 2025, thanks to nutrition security champion Councilmember Nina Ahmad, Philadelphia City Council included $500,000 for Food Bucks in its budget cycle, ensuring that more Philadelphians can afford the foods that support our health.
