Industrial policy is but one tool available to policymakers to solve a myriad of issues.
It is best used in conjunction with several other tools to produce a multi-dimensional action plan to target economic, societal, and/or environmental challenges and structural issues.

I’m sure it will be a great disappointment for the advocates to learn that industrial policy is no magic bullet. Can you imagine the IMF summarizing another study as “central bank independence is no magic bullet…”.? That’s how your ideology shows.
