@banefulest_ I like to alternate between those 2 interpretations depending on my mood ngl 😭that's the great thing about hlvrai both work for some reason
English

in my head hlvrai is honestly not some crazy immersive vr game it's way funnier if it's like when you put a mentally ill person in vrchat. phantom sense and all.
The Random Studio@TheRandomStudi0
Ngl Gordon on hlvrai gets so immersed in the game I keep forgetting he's not actually IN the game himself, act 3 will truly make you believe that man lost an arm irl😭 That's one of the reasons I kind of love the "Gordon is genuinely in the game and feels everything" hcs -
English

@TheRandomStudi0 Gordon was a theater major irl so he can act his heart out
English

@darkditzy_ I loved your ramble genuinely such a fun and interesting idea!!
English

@TheRandomStudi0 sorry for the ramble i just realllyyy love meta shit and id be super excited to see it explore the idea of how vr!wayne is being affected in the real life by playing this game (and how that all ties into his experience in alyx, i assume its supposed to be vr!wayne there too)
English

@1mininggirl From what I remember the chat actually got removed because they were being weirdly transphobic and it was one of the reasons Wayne was freaking out during act 3 but it's definitely a really cool coincidence
English

@TheRandomStudi0 More ideas on what you’re talking about, I’ve started concocting a theory that Gordon will turn out to be an AI as well, but it’s a very complex idea lol
English

@BanannaSlamma64 Yup I know about the panic attack fiasco from act 3 which made him sound like he actually lost his arm lmaoo 😭
English

@TheRandomStudi0 Specifically in that situation with his arm there was a bit of method acting going on that if you watch the cast commentary is very interesting.
English

@TheRandomStudi0 Its not a stretch to assume that whatever system allows for a gnome prop to physically replace a person IRL and trap that person in the game might also allow for someones consciousness to be temporarily pulled inside
English

@beatlesradioTV @Lovelytaco123 @singularfeline Honestly I thought so too but he seemed REALLY convinced that his head ACTUALLY fell off lmao 😭 I need to rewatch the VOD to confirm
English

@TheRandomStudi0 @Lovelytaco123 @singularfeline i thought he was saying this as a like IM GOING CRAZY!!!! thing I didnt realize it could mean anything else maybe im dull
English

@remynisceee Omg I didn't even think about that GENIUS parallel
English

@TheRandomStudi0 i do love the contrast of coomer slowly realizing the game isn't real and gordon slowly forgetting the game isnt real, almost like the longer he goes on the more the game literally sucks him in and he starts becoming a part of its world without realizing
English

@Lovelytaco123 @singularfeline I remember specifically near the end when they were meeting Stain Gordon just screams "MY HEAD FELL OFF" I think that was the second instance of that I don't remember the first time unfortunately
English

@RedFireTF2 I think about that so much actually cause YEA it did really make him sound like he was losing blood 😭
English

@TheRandomStudi0 act 3 is especially interesting because he was basically method acting through a genuine panic attack… which i think lowkey helped the acting because he was actually going through it a bit
English

@ddarkhr Oh yes yes absolutely this type of shit cause why else would he be genuinely loosing it in act 3 cause of his arm (ignoring the actual Wayne fighting a panic attack)
English

@TheRandomStudi0 i think so. it could also be more advanced vr than we have irl, so he can actually feel pain... ID YOU DIE IN THE GAME YOU DIE IN rEAL LIFE
English

@TheRandomStudi0 plus in the hl2 stream he kept saying his head fell off
English

@bahdface Yee I can see that like some insane vr technology that makes you genuinely believe you're in the game
