I feel like everyone calling Stardust "problematic" would not survive a post-Steel Vengeance RMC

Best finale of any roller coaster?

3 days later, it’s still at the original reduced price of $19.99 online.

Reduced again since yesterday.

@iamcg83 I played it in 1999, and still play it (well, RCT Classic) on my phone. But RCT2 is still the GOAT.
English

Yes. And loved every minute of it.
The Retro Room 🎮🕹🎬🎥@TheRetroRoomRoo
Did you play Roller Coaster Tycoon in 1999? 🎢
English

@Kdodgers24 I really like those two on the left. I don’t know why. 😉 *subtly points to pfp*

Me at the sushi restaurant after 3 bottles of sake and some old Utada Hikaru song comes on:

Los empleados de un restaurante en Cupertino, California, tuvo que intervenir para contener a un robot después de que este tirara objetos de una mesa durante su actuación de baile.

@jake_coasters Lost World is fine. The gymnastics to beat the dinosaurs is stupid, but the rest is fine. Not as good as the original, but definitely better than most of the World movies. It’s JP III that’s dumb garbage.

People are way too harsh to this movie, it's full of classic Speilbergian tense moments like this one, mix in some iconic cinematography
cinesthetic.@TheCinesthetic
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) gets labeled one of Spielberg’s weaker efforts, but even on an “off day” he was working on a different level. The long grass raptor sequence and the San Diego T-Rex rampage alone clear most of the Jurassic World series. x.com/CollapseTalkPo…

@imderekbell @TheRealVentures @Kdodgers24 Scuttlebutt back in the day was they nerfed it bc it yeeted a toddler that had wriggled out of the lap bar and onto the floor of the ride vehicle.
Though it’d also make sense that less intense movement means less stress on the vehicles and thus less maintenance. 🤷
English

@TheRealVentures @Kdodgers24 It was dizzying and awesome! I'm guessing it made people sick.
Reminds me of this scene 🤣🤣

Gotta love opening this app and having these two tweets back to back. 🤣 Makes me wanna go see another @OrlandoHockey Solar Bears game. Y’all enjoy! @Michael_Aiello @ThemedPM

@Cartarsauce These are all fantastic. I especially love the ones of the saloon girls bench and the wacky soap box racers. I saw the WSBR one and thought, “gosh, one’s great”, then saw it’s @BrandonStarrArt. Then thought, “Of course it is. No wonder it’s so good.”
English

I need everyone to see this.
Also, tragically sad that Eddie Sotto is no longer with us because I’m sure he would’ve absolutely loved these.

The primary sailing vessel used to portray the Black Pearl in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "At World's End" was a real ship named the Sunset, a 1970s-era offshore supply boat originally built to service oil derricks in the Gulf of Mexico, which was rebuilt in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, at Steiner Shipyard to resemble an 18th-century pirate galleon while retaining its seaworthy steel hull and modern engines. For filming, the Sunset accumulated over 8,000 nautical miles, including a 2,000-mile voyage from Alabama to Dominica for on-location shoots, with its masts and black sails often added via CGI, and it was captained by Glenn "Kiwi" Hall during production. In 2010, the Sunset was shipped to Oahu, Hawaii, where it underwent a four-month retrofit to transform it into Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge for "On Stranger Tides," including raising the stern to 55 feet, adding baroque skeletal details inspired by the Kostnice ossuary in the Czech Republic, and incorporating special effects like fiery figureheads, all while gaining 100 tons from lead ballast for stability. After filming, the ship was docked in various locations such as Hawaii, Long Beach, CA, Lafitte, Louisiana and Orange Beach, Alabama before being deliberately sunk in November 2025 as an artificial reef six nautical miles southwest of St. Andrews Pass off Panama City Beach, FL, in about 22 meters of water to create a marine habitat and a dive attraction. #DisneyFacts

@ThatDisneyBoi And in a food court that was (temporarily) shuttered by the health department just last year. And afaik, it’s barely promoted, if at all. It’s absolutely wild.

@TomKMorris @alisonmartino I grew up watching I Love Lucy pretty much every evening (my mom had the entire series on VHS), so Gale Gordon will forever be Mr. Littlefield to me.
English

Great Lucy Show clip discovered by LA historian @alisonmartino which peeks into the LAX Theme building 30 years pre-Encounter, when the restaurant had the sexy name "Host International."🤔 Gail Gordon will forever remind me of Walt Disney, but my comment fell flat with one Lucy historian.

@DoctorEmpyrean @florida_grand My partner visited the Ringling Museum a few weeks ago while on a work trip. It’s such a cool place. As a sucker for Mediterranean/Spanish/Italian revival architecture, Ca’ d’Zan has been a bucket list visit for me for years. I was appropriately jealous. 😂
English

@robbloomcw So much to unpack here. Doc Brown clowning around (🤭), the dad that looks like the jerk stepdad from a straight-to-VHS kids movie, Dollar Store Jonathan Taylor Thomas, the Rugrats Angelica doll. It’s almost too much 90s to handle.
