🚨 World Press Freedom Day: a testimony from Gaza journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi. Shot on October 9, 2024 in Jabalia refugee camp while covering the war for Al Jazeera, he was clearly marked as press when he was struck in the neck by Israeli fire. The attack left him paralyzed. Colleagues who were calling out to him were killed. Despite a life-threatening spinal injury, his evacuation was delayed for months amid repeated denied transfer requests, until he was finally evacuated on February 10, 2025 to Cairo and then Qatar for treatment. “There is no press freedom… my injury is the proof. But my voice is still here.”

Politicians are making some pretty bold claims about the cuts they will make in Wales to save money. The problem is, their maths doesn’t add up. Here are 3 things that, even if you cut them, will make very little difference to the amount of cash Wales has: --- The Nation of Sanctuary. A scheme to help (mainly Ukrainian refugees) contribute to Welsh society. Cost = £10m/year = 0.037% of the Welsh budget. --- The planting in Uganda. A scheme that offsets 25% of Wales’ transport emissions (not bad for the cost of one 3-bed house). Cost = £270k/year = 0.001% of budget. --- Scrap 20mph. This would actually COST £40m in changing the signs back. It also would cost the taxpayer more through increased casualties and higher insurance (about £90m a year). It is fine to want to scrap any of these policies if you think the money can be better spent elsewhere. But politicians need to stop pretending it will make any meaningful difference to the ability of the Welsh Government to deliver public services. They are rounding errors on a spreadsheet.

Rowley is lying and he knows it. This is a resigning offence. He is whipping up fear and hatred by suggesting that marches deliberately march near synagogues. Its untrue. No march has directly passed a synagogue. He must retract and apologise or resign. middleeasteye.net/news/met-polic…

A nun was assaulted in occupied East Jerusalem earlier this week amid growing concern over Israeli attacks against Christians. The 48-year-old, a researcher at Jerusalem’s French School of Biblical and Archaeological Research, was attacked on Tuesday in front of the Cenacle, a site on Mount Zion regarded as holy by both Christians and Jews. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which is affiliated with the nun’s research centre, said the attack was “not an isolated incident, but part of a troubling pattern of rising hostility toward the Christian community and its symbols”.

Britain Officially Shuts Its Eyes to Israel’s Crimes, While Fuelling Them After publicly lecturing the world about Britain’s supposed commitment to international law, Yvette Cooper and the Labour government has quietly shut down the only Foreign Office unit tasked with monitoring potential Israeli war crimes. This isn’t a contradiction, it’s a confession. The International Humanitarian Law unit was the sole mechanism inside Whitehall tracking possible breaches by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon. Its closure means the loss of a vast, verified database documenting tens of thousands of incidents since October 2023. Evidence painstakingly gathered to assess arms exports, legal exposure and patterns of violence is now at risk of being erased. This is not administrative tidying-up. It is the deliberate destruction of accountability. At the same time, Britain continues to supply arms, intelligence and surveillance flights that materially assist Benjamin Netanyahu’s genocidal assault on Palestinians. The UK is a full on accomplice. And now, as if the impunity already granted were insufficient, the government has chosen to stop even watching the crimes it helps enable. Cooper’s rhetoric about the “rules-based international order” is exposed as pure theatre. When international law threatens Western allies, it is quietly dismantled. This has always been the truth: international law is not a universal moral framework but a white supremacist instrument, enforced against the Global South and discarded when it inconveniences imperial power. By shutting down monitoring, Britain signals that Israeli crimes will not only go unpunished, they will go unrecorded. Victims lose evidence. Future prosecutions lose data. The state protects itself by choosing ignorance. This is not just unacceptable. It is obscene. Britain has decided that complicity is preferable to conscience, and that truth itself is expendable when power demands silence. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

I don’t think people get it yet. These psychopaths are hellbent on taking Al-Aqsa in the fog of war that they’ve started and dragged the world into. Christians being barred from their sites, and Al-Aqsa in their sight for removal while Muslims remain forbidden from it. This week I will be strategizing with Muslim and Christian leaders from the holy land as to how to raise more awareness and exert pressure in any way that we possibly can to stop this madness. But for now a reminder to us all to just wake up to the gravity of this situation.

Hatred and bigotry against Muslims is reaching levels of insanity in America. Our Masjid, @epicmasjid, offers free basic healthcare to anyone who walks in, and we fund it ourselves, while our doctors volunteer their time. Yet, even this act of basic humanity is turned around and used to weaponize anti-Muslim sentiment. By the way, the existence of this clinic is in fact a manifestation of the very 'Shariah' that these people are trying to ban!
The TN@Thewiseonewon

So, um, hey @GregAbbott_TX @kaylee_ashlynn why are Muslim’s in East Plano getting free healthcare if they’re not insured, and are American tax payers paying for this. We demand answers!!

Imagine if a Muslim off-duty police officer called a Jewish Chronicle reporter a "dog" and told them to "go back to Tel Aviv" Would be front-page of every major newspaper. Starmer would have to make a statement. Let's see if it's even covered at all when it's this way round...

🎥WHO PLACED THE BET? Someone just made a killing with an extraordinarily well-timed bet on financial markets, minutes before Donald Trump's announcement of war talks yesterday. Was it luck, or inside information? Either way... someone just got rich. Four min primer👇
