This new format killed the Europa league, in terms where we will almost never see big clubs play the competition again.
But it’s fulfilling why it was created 2nd tier competition, now we’re seeing 2nd tier best team in Europe in 2nd tier competition, and 3rd tier teams in Europe in 3rd tier competition.
There’s no big clubs to come and bully them, every of the team looks like they belong there and can beat each other.
