@Nev_the_artist Oh thanks! I will try experimenting with textures. It's so difficult to make digital art look like authentic canvas paintings from past decades. It all depends on the right brushes. What app do you use? I have CSP at the moment.

@tiggetyboo Try analyzing works of people who's styles you like and replicate it in your own way! My painterly look is also achieved by using paper and canvas textures as well :3

@tiggetyboo Thank you so much! I get inspired by lots of stuff, but the most influence is probably j.c. leyendecker, zmess (on tumblr) in terms of use of shapes and colors, and dragon age tarot cards with their use of shape and composition

@Nev_the_artist I mostly stay on Bsky to preserve my mental health. But I do come here once in a while to check on you and someone else. Have you tried Tumblr? When I post art there, they seem to eat it up. 😅 If you tag it well, you may have a lot of reposts and faves there.

Posting has been extremely weird lately... My reach has been nothing comparable to how it was even a month ago. And the ratio of likes to views has never been worse, even though I feel like my art has been improving Idk... it just feels really demoralizing

How often do I have to authenticate that I'm a real human as well as smacked by a barrage of app-related spam on this site every time that I use it? I tried messaging someone and it deleted my message due to an authentication popup. How infuriating.
