Tor (@torproject) uses a multi layered system known as “onion routing.” In this system: ✅ Traffic is routed through multiple independent nodes. ✅ Each layer applies a separate level of encryption. ✅ It becomes extremely difficult to identify both the source and the destination at the same time. For this reason, Tor provides a significantly stronger model of anonymity compared to VPNs.
