@UrbanKaoboy You’re spot on. US has shown its hand geopolitically and has no will or domestic backing (partisan or otherwise) to get into firefights with the IRGC in the Gulf. That’s their backyard after all.

Well, obviously it’s impossible to prove that this wouldn’t have happened if the Nimitz wasn’t recalled but, but leaving the region while pursuing economic initiatives like ESG that make us dependent on ME oil again seems short-sighted to say the least. reuters.com/world/report-a…

@ElectricCapital @laliberteg Would love to see a comprehensive analysis of MEV's impact on valuation metrics like these given MEV is independent of tx fees, but correlates with volatility (which feeds tx fees). Regardless one thing is clear, even top projections still dont account for MEV's impact on ETH2.

Interesting bear🐻analysis from the team over at @ElectricCapital! Without accounting for MEV @laliberteg provides a reasonable range based on various metrics, but with recent MEV research, I'd like to think many of these #'s might be conservative.

@hrome2 @hrome2 well put - timing does matter! By my count, the game theoretic basis for the response function of the parties to this escalation suggests that as far as the tits and tats go, the count remains balanced and the incentives remain on the brink!

The timeline is important. The drone shoot-down happened at 1000 local time, while the first news about Iranian tanker seizure came across the wires at 1400 Dubai. The tanker seizure was likely publicized in part because of the shoot down. #OOTT
