Travel emergencies happen at any time. When we needed urgent support, @travelstart was not reachable, resulting in costly consequences. A travel agency must provide 24-hour customer support. @AbsaSouthAfrica please review this travel partnership for the sake of customers.

@qrsupport @qatarairways My flight CPT→DOH→FRA on 15 March was cancelled. Travelstart is refusing to rebook me on another airline. I am invoking COMMQ157 Option 2 Tier 1. I have a university enrollment date of April 1 and my partner holds an au pair visa with a fixed entry deadline.

@bolfak Thank you for reaching out. When a name change is requested, the funds for a name change are paid to the airline. Once they receive payment, they allow us to reissue the ticket. Like all passengers, we are bound by the airline’s policies regarding amendments and cancellations.

I don’t mind the price, I always use the airline. Last time I used TravelStart, it cost me 900k to change a misplaced character in my name. Would have been free if I booked directly.

@travelstart Have sent a DM. As the thread of emails makes clear. We never accepted a thing. And they acknowledged we did not accept. Then say we “accepted” by flying the outbound leg. Long after we let you and them know the return flight was an issue and we were directed to a refunds team.

@travelstart If “being in touch” you really mean being told it’s @air_seychelles & worse, our fault. And for Air Sey to say “you accepted the change, tough”, which we didn’t. We communicated with both immediately and booked alternate returns at our own expense. So yes, you’ve been “in touch”
