We can't stop climate change. So why are we making ourselves poorer trying? If we want flood defences, resilient infrastructure, and the ability to adapt to a changing climate, we need a prosperous economy first. Instead, we're pursuing policies like Net Zero that make us poorer, while the planet continues to warm because the world's biggest emitters have no intention of following our example.

“One king nearly destroyed England. His teenage son changed everything.” Historian @dgjones explains how Edward II’s disastrous reign of favourites, betrayal and political chaos gave way to the remarkable rise of Edward III. At just 17, Edward III seized power, reunited a fractured nobility, and launched a campaign that transformed England into a military powerhouse. From palace intrigue to battlefield triumphs, this is one of the greatest political turnarounds in medieval history.

"Zero interest rates aren't normal. That’s for someone who's dying." 🚨 @PatrickEBoyle breaks down why the push for "left-wing style economics", like doubling the national debt to mimic Japan, is an absolute recipe for disaster. The reality? Japan has faced three lost decades, and those "cheap" interest rates everyone misses? They aren't coming back. We've had falling interest rates since 1981, meaning almost no one on a modern trading floor has ever even seen a rising rate environment.

"In the Middle Ages, fighting a battle was basically asking God for a verdict. At Crécy, God smiled on the English." Outnumbered, overstretched, and relying on "inferior" peasant archers, Edward III pulled off a miraculous victory over the French elite. Historian @dgjones explains how this legendary clash wasn't just a military win, it was seen as absolute proof of divine favour.
