We sponsored our first hackathon this year @ETHIndiaco 2024, that concluded earlier this month, and the results are amazing. ⭐️ 2 out Top 10 finalists are built on True Network ⚡️ 18 out of 260 projects leveraged True Network's SDK for on-chain reputation systems. 1/n 🧵

Ethereum spends ~$4 Billion every year to secure itself. Polkadot spends upto 85% of annual inflation to secure the network. --- --- This is because we purchase Coordination-through capital. But there is an another efficient way as well i.e. Coordination-through Reputation. Since the trustless network is already running via capital, you now have the opportunity to optimize your bills by identifying, reputing, and developing mechanisms to align, leveraging reputation as a stake. --- --- Using Social Contracts - Agreement for coordination based on reputation as an asset - Contract is immutable, transparent & accountability is non-transferable - It defines the terms of execution & termination, with possible end stakes for each party’s reputation - Faithful execution is guaranteed by the underlying protocol (@TrueNetworkIo) in this case. - It stacks reputation stakes until a risk factor (threshold) is reached Any individual, validator or app can propose & sign social contracts permissionlessly. --- --- I’m not suggesting we replace staking rewards with reputation, but rather use reputation to reduce costs. We (@truenetworkio) are still in the early stages of experimenting with this narrative, but we believe it is now feasible to create such systems, which will enhance the resilience of the ecosystem.

@truenetworkio Surely you will receive support if you align yourself properly on Polkadot. This has happened even regardless of product. The product is pretty, no doubt. It's something we wouldn't invest in with our own funds, a question we often do internally in order to assess vote confidence

Saxemberg has voted NAY on the Polkadot referendum 1585 Avatar Accounts: Bringing The Whole Web3 To Polkadot. Due to previous lack of deliveries of new projects/teams, specially on the high end, we believe projects should be scaled down at the beginning.

Excited to see @DotCadeFun reach heights ✨ Started as a hackathon project last year, at in Bangalore, India. The platform enables arcade game developers to distribute their games to players based on public on-chain reputation built on True Network. This creates a fair economic opportunity for developers and people who want a break from work to try some casual arcade games. Every year, 120k people die from workplace stress in the US alone. Simple no-play-to-earn crap arcade games have the potential to help people relieve stress, increase emotional awareness, and exhibit solution-focused behavior. That's where Dotcade comes in, an open blockchain-based platform giving opportunities for indie-game devs to serve this audience and earn value themselves without the platform taking it all. A beta research paper will be released soon, followed by the implementation of a live protocol on Kusama.

Reputation needs to be more than just a social symbol. By bringing reputation on-chain, we transform it into a social coordination system, enabling individuals to remain anonymous while still ensuring accountability & trust within the community.
