Dear Gen Z girls, Yesterday, I was sitting with my neighbours in our society when an aunty was advising her daughter that whatever job you want to do, do it now because after marriage, most of your time will have to be given to the home. You will have to take care of the family. She said, "After going to your in laws' house, don't start working immediately. It may look bad. First spend 2 or 3 years taking care of the home and family." I felt that there was some truth in what aunty was saying. We live in a modern time and women are equal to men, but that does not mean a woman should forget everything else. Men cannot give birth to children. That is something only we women can do. So, my thinking is that a woman's first responsibility is to manage her home. If you manage your home well, then take some time out and slowly, after 2-3 years, start working. You can do a good job or start a business, but first give some time to your home and family. If you do this, you will be able to manage both your home and your job properly.

Imagine telling your daughter: "Beti, you don't need to be the best. You just need a uterus & a quota. Merit is for the boys. You get participation trophies with extra seats." It's the ultimate low key sexism dressed up as feminism. "Women are equal!" screams the progressive, while simultaneously demanding they get free lanes because apparently equality is too hard without handicaps. Nothing says "I believe in women's capability" like legally declaring they need the system to hold their hand past the starting line. Next up: reserved parking for people who identify as bad drivers. Same energy. If competence is distributed equally, remove the crutches & watch the results. If it isn't, the quota is just institutionalized mediocrity cosplaying as justice. Either way, the only thing being reserved is actual respect for women who actually earned it the hard way.
