Applications are open for the Chat for Health Accelerator 2026: Scaling AI and Voice for Primary Healthcare. 739 million adults worldwide cannot read or write. Literacy barriers, language diversity, and limited digital skills have historically kept large portions of the population from accessing digital health services. Two-way voice AI changes that - allowing patients to interact with health services through natural speech, in their own language, on WhatsApp. We are looking for ten primary healthcare organisations already delivering care at scale across the Global South - organisations ready to build, test, and launch live AI-enabled chat and voice services on WhatsApp. The programme is supported by @endless_global, @ElevenLabs, and @AnthropicAI. Classrooms are overcrowded, resources are stretched, and access to quality learning materials is uneven. Many promising education tools never make it past the pilot stage, even though the need is urgent and the potential for scale is within reach.
