Prof. Jan Westpheling (@uga_genetics), passed away recently. Jan was my UGA counterpart on the USG Faculty Council. She was a force of nature, the most impish professor I've met (other than me!), a true scholar, a leader, and truly beloved among her colleagues on the Faculty Council. She took me under her wing when I first joined and we became fast friends. I shall miss her friendship and her hilarious sense of humor. Her memory will certainly be a blessing.
