Last week, the department and Dr. Theresa Ho were excited to host 10 students from West Liberty Middle School for a science outreach visit! Shout‑out to undergraduates Andres Viveros and Kathit Patel, who helped guide students as they stained and visualized their own microflora.

Morgan Kremer, a senior undergraduate microbiology student received an Undergraduate Poster Presentation Award at the Autumn Immunology Conference. Morgan is investigating how helper T cells become activated and acquire protective functions during malaria. Congrats Morgan!
