Meta and YouTube found liable in social media addiction trial. REVISITED. The girl at the center of the lawsuit, identified in court as Kaley G.M., was 20 years old at the time of the trial verdict in March 2026. The lawsuit alleged that she developed severe mental health issues after becoming addicted to YouTube and Instagram as a child, specifically starting YouTube at age 6 and Instagram at 9 Am I the only one wondering why no one in this case raised any concerns about PARENTAL RESPOSIBILITY ? Age when symptoms began: 10 (anxiety and depression). Where were the parents ?? Far too many parents have a kid then it is no longer their problem. Classic Socialist trait, expecting "the system" to care for it.
