We call on the AMA to demand the immediate, unconditional release of Dr. Abu Safiya and all other medical personnel, and an end to Israel’s arbitrary detentions and unlawful attacks on the Palestinian healthcare system!

USPCN, like many organizations & human rights institutions around the world, has been demanding the immediate release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. We will not rest until he is reunited with his family. Free Dr. Abu Safiya and all beloved Palestinian prisoners imprisoned by Israel!

Dr. Husam Abu Safiya’s lawyer told his family that he is being held in Negev Prison under harsh conditions and is being deprived of essential medication and medical treatment despite his deteriorating health.

On April 28th, Israel extended Dr. Abu Safiya’s illegal detention in Israeli prison for another six months. Dr. Abu Safiya was first arbitrarily detained in December 2024 due to his courageous refusal to abandon his patients and staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza.

This is not technical. It is political. “Judea & Samaria” is an annexation term — used to erase Palestine and normalize Israeli control over occupied land. What was imposed digitally is part of the same system reshaping the land: erasure, displacement, annexation. And the questions remain: Who built this system of digital erasure? Palestinian Health ministry says two killed and four others wounded as settlers opened fire at Palestinians. The victims were identified as Aws Hamdi al-Nassan and Jihad Marzouq Abu Naiem. They were respectively aged 14 and 32, according to the health ministry middleeasteye.pulse.ly/so473w9adw
