Every day, our Unlikely Heroes teams are on the front lines in high-risk areas working to open the door for children to escape their horrible situations.

Children are at heightened risk of exploitation, especially now during COVID with  school closures and lockdowns. In some countries, because of the pandemic, more children are forced onto the streets in search of food and income, heightening their risk of exploitation.

We take fun very seriously in each of our Unlikely Heroes homes across the world.

Two years later, Carter is still looking for ways to help out around the house. He loves to help make dinner and even helps the new boys get acclimated to the home! #together #freedom #unlikelyheroes *Carter’s name has been changed to protect him.

**ICYMI** Carter was abandoned at just 2 years old. He and his sister were left to become child victims of sex traffickers until social services stepped in and placed them in our Unlikely Heroes restoration home.

Carter* is dreaming about his future! He shared with our team, "I want to be an architect when I grow up!" We love it when our kids dream about their futures!

***UPDATE***After a year of implementing her individualized education plan and care plan, Angelina is catching up quickly to her peers! In fact, she is dreaming about her future as a TEACHER! We are so proud of how far she has come and celebrate her dreams with her!
