Last week, I had the pure joy of hosting John Kiriakou here in Nicosia for almost an entire week. 🇨🇾
Over the next several days, I’ll be sharing ONE POST PER DAY so you can follow the unforgettable experience he had exploring Cyprus - its history, mountains, food, people, occupation, faith, and stories.
Getting to know John up close and spending so much time together, my family and I no longer see him as just a close friend - we genuinely consider him PART OF OUR FAMILY now.
And in a beautiful twist none of us expected… his recent DNA test revealed something that surprised him, but delighted all of us: he is apparently MORE CYPRIOT THAN ANYTHING ELSE. 🇨🇾
It’s something he now plans to explore further with a genealogist in the coming months.
So let’s begin.
📍 DAY 1 - Arrival in Cyprus
First stop:
Traditional SOUVLAKIA & SHEFTALIA dinner in the old quarter of Strovolos.
And yes… Cyprus immediately PASSED THE FOOD TEST.
