UniSat: Phased Updates and Upgrades (2026.02)
We have observed recent changes within the Bitcoin ecosystem. For UniSat, however, our direction remains clear — we are firmly committed to supporting the development of the Bitcoin mainnet ecosystem and will continue investing in Ordinals, Runes, and brc-20 infrastructure.
Alongside our ongoing product iterations, we will be implementing the following phased adjustments and upgrades:
1️⃣ UniSat Marketplace: Temporarily Lowering Market Entry Barriers
Starting March 1, 2026, UniSat will implement a 90-day platform-wide ZERO service fee policy on UniSat Marketplace.
Please note that this policy applies equally to all Bitcoin mainnet assets supported on the platform, including Ordinals, Runes, and brc-20.
This adjustment is intended to lower participation barriers for users and creators on the Bitcoin mainnet, and to help improve overall ecosystem activity.
During this period, we will continue to observe mainnet active address metrics and real trading behavior to further optimize our product and incentive structure.

2️⃣ UniHexa: Expanding the Current Invitation Round
Next week, we will expand the invitation scope for Early Access to UniHexa, our unified on-chain exchange service for brc-20 and Runes.
Six Bitcoin mainnet assets (three Runes and three brc-20 tickers) will become tradeable on UniHexa. The final list will incorporate selected tickers suggested by the community.
We welcome you to leave a comment indicating which assets you would like to see supported. Community feedback will play a meaningful role as we gradually expand supported assets.
UniHexa aims to deliver a more efficient, transparent, and composable asset exchange experience directly on the Bitcoin mainnet.

3️⃣ brc-20: Upcoming Technical Discussion on Single Step Transfer
We will soon share detailed technical discussions regarding the implementation of Single Step Transfer for brc-20 on the Bitcoin mainnet, including proposed modifications and optimizations from the UniSat engineering team under specific use cases.
We believe there remains substantial room for improvement in brc-20 infrastructure design.
These discussions will be conducted openly and transparently, and we welcome constructive input from developers.
4️⃣ For Developers: UniSat API Upgrade
As part of our infrastructure commitment, we will soon upgrade the UniSat API into a full-featured MCP capable of delivering commercial-grade Bitcoin on-chain data.
The upgraded API will function as a more agent-friendly interface for intelligent on-chain operations, designed to support the next generation of automated and AI-driven Bitcoin applications.
Our goals are to:
- Lower the barrier for developers building on Bitcoin
- Enable broader automation and intelligent agent use cases
- The long-term growth of the Bitcoin ecosystem depends on sustained developer participation.

5️⃣ Long-Term Participation in Fractal Standard Indexing Service
UniSat will acquire FB in phases from the market to participate in the Fractal Standard Indexing Service (FIP-101), scheduled to begin in Q2.
The initial phase will involve the acquisition of no fewer than 500,000 FB, with the first-stage deployment to be initiated and completed within 15 days. These FB will be used for long-term participation in index staking. Our objective is to maintain a stable and meaningful participation ratio in future index staking rounds.
All staking rewards generated through this participation will be fully reinvested into the UniSat product ecosystem, benefiting active UniSat Marketplace traders and early UniHexa participants.
The core of this arrangement is not short-term incentives, but rather the continuous reinvestment of platform-generated value back into the ecosystem.
