Today’s fight between @chesscom and @TakeTakeTakeApp is NOT about the platform. Because it’s timed around the Netflix release, it’s a PR play for both, but also the fact that chessom paid $83 million for Magnus Carlsen. He probably used some of that money to build the competition. And contractually, he can't say a word about it.

If the chess mafia would do this to their closest competitor. Imagine what they would do to a supposedly powerless 19 year old teenager. People will do terrible things if they truly believe they can get away with it.

Fisher Random thing did. Although could have avoided this cost.
I spoke about this already in Budapest, seeing old equipment, nothing changed since...
Hopefully it's just some video for PR, but I doubt. Even during Baku Olympiad in 2016 I was checked once after a game, it seemed more serious back then

@VBkramnik The N4 is actually my personal device, not FIDE's We also have newer FLIRs here as well. I am here with close to 100,000 Euros worth of fair play equipment. Not everything we do is shown on that video for reasons that should be obvious to everyone
