Google just released Android CLI — and it's a quiet game-changer for AI-assisted development. 🥳
Here's the problem it solves:
When you use an AI agent (Claude, Gemini, Cursor, etc.) to build Android apps, the agent spends most of its time guessing. Parsing verbose Gradle errors. Figuring out SDK commands. Writing boilerplate from scratch. That burns through tokens fast and produces inconsistent results.
Android CLI fixes this by giving the agent structured commands and a Skills system — curated recipes from Google that cover things like Navigation 3, AGP upgrades, and edge-to-edge layouts. Instead of looping through broken code and corrections, the agent follows a recipe. One command, one correct output.
The numbers from Google's internal testing speak for themselves:
→ 70%+ reduction in LLM token usage
→ 3x faster task completion
To be clear — this isn't replacing Android Studio. It's a companion tool designed for the terminal-first, agent-driven workflow that's becoming the norm.
I recorded a full walkthrough covering the setup, the Skills system, and a live demo where I build an app from a single prompt using Claude Code. No boilerplate, no outdated patterns.

400+ builders. One day. 50+ projects shipped from scratch. 🚀
We just wrapped the MeDo Singapore Hackathon with @Medo_CodeFree at National University of Singapore -- and our community showed up ready to build 🔥
Here's a taste of what got shipped:
- A live taxi map using Singapore's LTA data to find the nearest cab instantly.
- A co-founder matcher that simulates partnership chemistry before you ever meet.
- A fitness app mapping workout strain onto a 3D body model.
- A caffeine scheduler using pharmacokinetics to optimize your coffee timing.
- A 3D game that teaches waste sorting through competitive gameplay.
...and 50+ more 😊
Huge thanks to @Medo_CodeFree for powering this hackathon, and to every builder who showed up to learn, ship, and connect. 💪
Shipped a project? Deploy it on MeDo.dev and post with #BuiltWithMeDo -- selected projects can win $500 USD. 🥳
Let's build the future of AI -- together.

Just wrapped up our meetup in Tokyo, and the energy was something else! 🇯🇵
We spent the night diving deep into @qoder_ai_ide, and honestly, the reaction from the Tokyo community was incredible. It wasn't just polite interest—local engineers were genuinely glued to the demos.
The shift from just coding to true agentic building is happening, and Tokyo is all in. Thanks to everyone who joined us—can’t wait to see what you build next!

40+ AI startup founders. One curated dinner. 🚀
We hosted the Singapore AI Founders VIP Dinner.
Big takeaway: AI founders are thinking about database infra, not just models. TiDB from @PingCAP lets you run transactions + real-time analytics in one MySQL-compatible distributed SQL database, scale to petabytes with automatic sharding, and use vector search + full-text search for RAG and agent memory -- no separate systems, no ETL.
If you're an AI founder or technical leader in Singapore -- the next one is worth clearing your calendar for. 😊

Had a fantastic time at the “Vibe Coding 101 with Zeabur: FREE AI Coding Workshop”, hosted by AI Builders @zeaburapp Women in Tech®Singapore.
Big thanks to Zeabur for helping vibe coders launch confidently and seamlessly into production! 😊

Singapore’s AI x Finance scene is heating up! 🔥 Two weeks ago, builders and execs from Standard Chartered, BytePlus, and more packed ByteDance Singapore to explore “The Future of Your AI Co-worker in Finance.”
Pizza-fueled networking ✅ AnyGen workshop ✅ Fire-side panel with industry leaders ✅
Huge thanks to our co-organizers and community. The finance revolution isn’t coming—it’s already here.

That’s a wrap for Agent Forge Hackathon in Singpaore with @Momen_HQ 🎉
We spent an inspiring Sunday turning ideas into Agentic AI using Momen’s no-code interface. Huge thanks to @YaokaiJiang for the deep dive into building sophisticated workflows. 🧠
🏆 Congrats to our Hackathon winners and thanks everyone for coming to learn and connect with other AI Builders.

Lorong AI @Lorong_AI ThursTalks is on 🔥!
Christian Hu from Qoder @qoder_ai_ide shared game-changing insights on AI-native coding—going way beyond autocomplete to full feature development
🎙️ Fireside chat with Benjamin Goh from @GovTechSG explored the real future of software engineering
Key takeaways:
- AI coding agents are becoming true collaborators, not just assistants
- The "software engineer" role is evolving fast
- Human expertise still critical (AI hasn't solved everything yet!)
More events coming soon from LorongAI and AI Builders—follow for updates!

The question is no longer whether to adopt AI — it's how fast and how scalable.
We hosted the AI and Digital Transformation Tech Leaders VIP Brunch in Singapore with Crafting.dev, bringing together engineering leaders for an intimate morning of real talk on what's actually working (and what isn't) when shipping with AI in production. Sumeet Vaidya, Co-Founder of Crafting, walked us through lessons learned from Silicon Valley's fastest-moving teams adopting AI in software engineering, and Amanda Lau kept the conversations flowing with sharp facilitation throughout.
Key takeaways from Sumeet's presentation:
- Engineering teams are moving through a clear AI adoption lifecycle — but most are stuck at the human validation bottleneck. Agents can write code, but the path from code complete to live in production still depends on human reviews at every step.
- With challenges such as dependency access paralysis, pipeline security bypasses, and scaling blindly — one team saw a 15x usage spike in just 12 days. sandbox and CI/CD best practices are becoming critical for agents, not just humans.
Catch our next event and join the AI Builders community💪
