There were brilliant innovators, reckless gamblers, visionaries, opportunists and criminals all colliding in the same ecosystem. The speed was extraordinary. Fortunes appeared and disappeared overnight. Entire communities formed around the belief that financial power could shift away from traditional banking institutions and back into the hands of individuals. The 2017 Bull cycle into 2018 bear cycle was the moment when that underground movement exploded into global consciousness. Bitcoin was suddenly on the front page of newspapers around the world. For many people it looked too good to be true. For others it looked like the beginning of a new financial era. What fascinated me most was not just the technology or the money. It was the psychology. Markets are not driven purely by logic. They are driven by belief, fear, ambition and the human desire to win. When those emotions collide with something as disruptive as cryptocurrency, the result is explosive. COINRUNNERS is my way of telling that story. It is not just about trading or digital currencies. It is about the people drawn into that world. The risk takers, the outsiders, the relationships that were made and lost and the ones who simply wanted a shot at changing their lives.
