🚨 do you understand how badly companies are screwing up AI rollouts.. one company gave unlimited Claude access with zero spending limits.. $500 million bill in 30 days.. another made AI usage a performance metric.. engineers started running agents 24/7 doing nothing.. just burning tokens to hit quotas.. executives still talking about "replacing workers" while AI bills exceed payroll.. nobody is getting replaced.. everybody is bleeding money.. we're not in an AI revolution.. we're in an AI accounting nightmare.. companies spending millions to automate tasks that cost hundreds.. wondering why margins disappeared.. the same executives who wouldn't approve a $50k raise just signed AI contracts that could fund entire departments.. this is what happens when people who've never written code decide how to deploy it at scale..

You don't need a roadmap or a mentor. Building will teach you only IF you stay honest with did this feature did I miss that user would I do more, theorize > planning

🚨 do you understand what NVIDIA just pulled off.. teasing the N1X since 2023.. ghosting Computex and CES.. while Intel and AMD thought they owned laptops.. NVIDIA wasn't making another graphics card.. they built a 6144 CUDA core chip that puts RTX 5070 graphics in your backpack.. Intel spent three years saying integrated graphics were "good enough".. AMD pushed APUs as mobile's future.. they carved up the market like it was settled.. meanwhile NVIDIA quietly solved laptop gaming's real problem.. heat and power.. the N1X runs at 45 watts without throttling.. the chip everyone called vaporware.. "canceled" twice.. just ended a decades-long duopoly with hardware that shouldn't exist.. Intel and AMD weren't competing with NVIDIA.. they were getting played.. for three years.. thinking they won a war that was already over.. the laptop you're reading this on is about to be obsolete

Whatever you build obsessively for six months literally rewires how you see problems and then you ship things with a different mind acting like it's still you making decisions when really it's just the reps you chose to put in six months ago now running on autopilot. people who say "just ship faster" don't understand that shipping is a physical habit and habits compound and once a body learns a rhythm it becomes that rhythm. you can build yourself into momentum or into stagnation, which means most founders are accidentally training themselves every day with whatever they choose to work on.

🚨 a company just torched $500,000,000 on Claude in a single month because nobody checked one box.. - rate limits were turned off for "testing" - someone never flipped them back on - the AI started calling itself over and over - 47 million API calls an hour, nonstop, for 30 days the most expensive checkbox in enterprise history.

Anthropic just dropped Claude Opus 4.8.. and it changes everything.. same price as 4.7.. live today.. here's what matters: > Opus 4.8 works for hours without babysitting. > makes real engineering decisions on its own.. stays locked in across marathon sessions. > hand it a feature or bug hunt.. let it tear through your repo while you do anything else. > fast mode just landed.. same model.. 2.5x faster.. 3x cheaper. > API users can request access through account managers or hit the waitlist. > dynamic workflows now in research preview. > for the hard stuff.. Claude builds a plan, spins up hundreds of parallel subagents, checks its own work. > built for nightmare tasks.. migrations touching hundreds of files.. stuff that used to take weeks.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.8: it builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors. Available today at the same price.

Most builders cannot (and will never be able to) tell the difference between building something real and building something that looks like it ships. This type of person measures progress by how busy they feel, not by what actually moved. Think daily standups with no output. People said the official words because saying them felt like work. People who shipped are good. People who talked about shipping are not. Most people building right now will never, for even one moment, surpass that level of thinking.

while America argues about whether AI will take jobs.. China just opened robot training facilities in Shanghai.. - 100+ humanoids learning human tasks by doing the same thing over and over, guided in VR - they're not debating the future of work.. they're building it - when these robots show up in factories and hospitals.. guess who runs the supply chain we're having ethics meetings.. they're having production meetings..

🚨McKinsey just admitted something that should terrify every consultant on earth.. clients are refusing to pay for hours worked because AI can do the analysis in minutes that used to take teams weeks.. - $50k strategy decks now cost $5 in compute - junior analysts swapped out for Claude overnight - partners billing $2000 an hour for what ChatGPT does for free - 40% revenue drop as clients spin up their own AI teams the consulting empire built on information asymmetry just died.

NEW: AI is reportedly pushing McKinsey & rival consulting firms to rethink pricing, as clients are “questioning the value” of human advice.

Builder's cheat code 🤎 • Respect 3 things: 1. Your users' time 2. Your co-founders 3. The process • Avoid 3 things: 1. Scope creep 2. Shipping without feedback 3. Burnout • Keep 3 things: 1. Momentum 2. Honest metrics 3. A clear why • Remember 3 things: 1. Failure is data 2. People who helped you 3. Why you started

You're telling me 10,000 people just paid $118 for a collar that claims to translate dog barks.. and nobody is asking the obvious question.. - how exactly does AI know what "woof" means in dog language - why would evolution give dogs complex thoughts but limit them to one sound - what's the training data.. did someone interview a million dogs the same people who won't trust AI to write an email just bought AI that supposedly speaks fluent golden retriever..

THIS!! 🔥👇🏼 "If I build a hammer, it's not gonna break anything. If I write a line of code, it's not gonna hurt anyone… and if a founder ships a bad product and loses users, the tool doesn't take the blame, the founder does."

🚨 Meta just pulled the most predictable corporate move ever.. people in Georgia are literally holding jars of brown water at a congressional hearing.. and Meta says "wasn't us".. - got an "independent study" to back themselves up - blamed literally everything else first - used the classic "correlation isn't causation" excuse the playbook never changes..

The more I build, the more I realize shipping great products isn't about finding some clever shortcut or hidden framework. It's consistently doing the unglamorous things every builder knows but is too distracted to actually do. Get good at boring.
