In Brussels for #EUCO. 🇲🇹 stands for peace - a value it will advocate for, particularly amidst discussions concerning Ukraine, Middle East and security and defence. In discussions on the agricultural sector, will emphasise 🇪🇺’s role in bolstering support for farmers. - RA

While the Commission revised down the prospects for the EU, its experts once again concluded that Malta’s expansion will be higher than previously expected. They also lowered the expected path of inflation. Progressive decisions make a real difference in people’s lives. - RA

Officially confirmed! 2023 has been a record year for tourism in 🇲🇹 on all fronts - record number of guests & guest nights, coupled with a record spend of €2.7 billion. We will continue implementing 🇲🇹's strategy aimed at achieving stronger results & increasing quality. - RA

The approval for the development of the second interconnector project is a major leap towards a sustainable energy sector. This advancement opens doors to greater investments in renewable energy, aligning with our climate goals & enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.-RA

In Brussels for crucial #EUWB & #EUCO summits. Key discussions ahead on EU-Western Balkans relations, enlargement, Ukraine, Middle East, & the mid-term review of the financial framework. Emphasizing the need for resources to support our priorities, for global order & peace. - RA

Reference is made to some reports in the #Libya press and online. I am informed that all the Maltese rescue personnel are safe and sound, heading back to #Malta.

Brussels for #EUCELAC. The EU needs to forge stronger global partnerships, building relations on trade as well as cultural & political ones. This is a foundation for further growth & cooperation, incl. to bridge investment gaps for socially just green & digital transitions. - RA

Despite the pandemic the average disposable income of families rose by €2,224, while the proportion of those at risk of poverty fell to the lowest rate since 2016. We will introduce more measures to improve the welfare of our families. - RA

In its Winter forecast, @EU_Commission made an upward revision of our economic growth last year & predicts the 2nd largest growth for this year & next year. Inflation will remain amongst the lowest. @MaltaGov will continue to support & invest in our people. - RA

Heartfelt appreciation to prison inmates who carried out professional maintenance at the ministry. They learnt new skills as part of their rehab. It was nice to share a bite and exchange views during this festive season. Will strive to make prison an orderly rehab centre.

Discussed world peace and stability with Libyan Prime Minister @Dabaibahamid and reiterated that civilians should not continue suffering the consequences of war. Whilst #Malta remains a strategic partner for #Libya, the Libyan people must resolve the internal conflict. - RA
