@visitscot @80_mcswan Don’t be daft. They often already have relatives in U.K.
Kilkenny, Ireland 🇮🇪 English

@bethany83 @AnumQaisarJaved No I don’t know differently, but I think you’d need to have been one of the police to know what it felt like. Time will tell if we start to hear their account
English

@semple_in_eire It’s not a rule, it’s how I feel. I think I’m still allowed an opinion. But someone fleeing persecution and deliberately travelling through other free countries before claiming asylum is no long afraid for their life.
English

@visitscot Did you make that rule up yourself? Either way, it makes very little sense because the UK is an island. It is possible to travel by sea from any country in the world with a coast without passing through another country.
English

@lukewmorrison @80_mcswan Because they take the illegal route. And there begins the pattern. They can claim asylum like real refugees.
English

@visitscot @80_mcswan Why not? If they’re going to work and contribute once they’re here what’s the problem
English

@yescotland @NicolaSturgeon They were advised not to invest in them - but ignored the advise. Sounds so familiar
English

Apparently @NicolaSturgeon will now incite her mob to stop the UK Serious Fraud Office from investigating the Gupa empire and the £575m guarantees from the Scottish Executive that are now at risk. dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/…
English

@theSNP Nope there is not. Less people voted for separatist parties, the majority voted for remain parties.
English

🔎 Tory hypocrisy in full swing:
David Cameron used 36.9% as a mandate for an EU referendum.
Boris Johnson used 43.6% to plough ahead with Brexit during a pandemic.
✅ The SNP won 47.7% of the constituency vote - there is a clear mandate for an independence referendum. #bbcqt

@nationalismwat1 @ttilxe Answer: if they’ll vote SNP they can stay, get a house, get benefits, get health care, get a free laptop, bike, bus travel, attack our history. I think I missed a few things
English

@Sneddon0472 @Bigg_Daddy_O @policescotland @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf I thought the politicians were meant to ensure the laws were upheld. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
English

@visitscot @Bigg_Daddy_O @policescotland @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf That’s what people aren’t understanding. So if someone doesn’t like the law then they gather a crowd and get MSP’s backing then the authorities back down.
English

Would it surprise anyone if @policescotland officers went on strike after the position @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf put them under today. A lot of angry officers tonight.
English

@Slimshady1961 @Sneddon0472 @policescotland @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf So slim shady, what’s you thoughts on deporting the Glasgow Asian rape gang? Leave all 55 of them and rehouse them next to you?
English

@Sneddon0472 @policescotland @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf Too bad. There’s a time to stand up for injustice, not meekly agree to do the work of a hard right Home Secretary and her Gauleiters. No doubt the cops will be marching in time to the sectarian songs of hate tomorrow- overseeing the destruction of Glasgow’s public realm
English

@Bigg_Daddy_O @Sneddon0472 @policescotland @NicolaSturgeon @HumzaYousaf Thanks Shirley for your service. I believe the majority of Scotland are behind our police force, a shining beacon to forces around the world. Yesterday the MP’s and MSP’s incited crowds to converge on your colleagues, putting them in danger. I hope there is some recourse for you.
English

@Haitch7 @Aaron_UK_MEX It was the SNP MSP’s and MP’s inciting the mob and asking more to come. What can a normal citizen do to tackle this? Please don’t say vote as it’s obvious that doesn’t work
English

@agcolehamilton Sikhs don’t celebrate Eid. It was just a bandwagon for UK hating MP’s and MSP’s to jump on - and you got it wrong, endangering people upholding the law and carrying out their job - you nearly caused a riot. Of course with Police Scotland in your pocket nothing will happen
English

I think a hostile environment policy which detains asylum seekers in this way, on Eid of all days, shames this country. It’s not about politics, it’s about human decency.
Hard not to be moved by the solidarity shown by neighbours looking out for neighbours here.
