Paid for by record-breaking oil profits. Notice how you can't spot a single billionaire here? They're safe on superyachts, completely detached from the reality they funded to deny. 📍 Lai Chau Province, Vietnam yesterday.

Would you look at that. Smoke drifting up to Canada from the massive wildfires burning in Oregon and Washington. The US National Weather Service Spokane shared this satellite image showing active U.S. wildfires. Driven by mid-to-upper level winds, this massive smoke highway is tracking straight north, blanketing eastern Washington and northern Idaho before invading southern British Columbia. It completely flips Trump’s bizarre rants about punishing Canada. Turns out the atmosphere flows both ways.

The sudden obsession with glyphosate in my replies is a complete distraction from the actual climate-driven Canadian fires I posted about. Timber companies only spray glyphosate locally on specific commercial logging plots. No one is flying planes into the deep Yukon or Northwest Territories to spray hundreds of millions of acres of untouched wilderness. Those massive Canadian megafires are triggered by lightning in remote, roadless areas completely untouched by logging. In fact, lightning strikes cause just 50% of Canada's fires but account for 80% to 95% of the total area burned. Worse yet, multi-year droughts have left these remote forests tinder-dry, turning a normal natural cycle into an explosive climate crisis. Blaming a hyper-local timber practice for a continent-wide, climate-driven drought is just embarrassing desperation. *Timber companies spray glyphosate strictly on managed logging plots to kill off fast-growing broadleaf weeds so that replanted commercial pine and spruce trees can grow faster without competition.

Listen closely to these cries of despair. Big Oil executives won’t hear them because they plug their ears with cash. To them, profits matter more than human lives. "Help us, O Allah. Help us, O Allah. The water has become very high, it's almost coming in. Help us, O Allah. Help us, O Allah. The water has already entered. Our belongings have already been swept away, O Allah. Save us, O Allah. Save our lives, O Allah. Save us, O Allah. Help us, O Allah. Help us, O Allah. Please help us, O Allah. Government, help us. The embankment has broken, the embankment has collapsed. Help us, help us, O Allah. Help us, O Allah." 📍 Tukka area of Central Tapanuli Regency, Indonesia today.

@volcaholic1 You can’t seriously look at this map and say the degree is anywhere near what the upper Midwest through northeast experienced the last few days.
