We have published new Guidelines on the process for Anti-Doping Organizations to opt out of the automatic recognition of Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs). Following the approval of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, automatic recognition of TUEs will become the default position under the International Standard for TUEs. These Guidelines provide a formal process for International Federations and Major Event Organizations seeking to opt out of the automatic recognition of TUEs, while safeguarding harmonization, trust, and consistency across the global anti-doping system. 🔎 Consult the new Guidelines now: tinyurl.com/4bpc779m

With one month until the deadline, we wish to remind you that we have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify potential hosts for these important events. World Athletics President Sebastian Coe and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) President Witold Bańka met at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 in Torun, Poland, on Saturday (21) to discuss the importance of unity and further collaboration within the global anti-doping system, the work of the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), and the need to move beyond compliance and invest more money into new research and further investigations. In Toruń today, I met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism & Sport, Yerbol Myrzabosynov, to discuss continued cooperation in support of clean sport. On the sidelines of the 2026 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toruń, Poland, our President @WitoldBanka met with @WorldAthletics President Sebastian Coe (@sebcoe) to celebrate the success of Operation LIMS and discuss ongoing collaboration in the fight for clean sport. A total of 66 cases in athletics were successfully sanctioned following the diligent efforts of the AIU in collaboration with WADA. In total, across all sports, Operation LIMS has led directly to 298 sanctions against athletes who were part of Russia’s institutionalized doping scheme. A major joint-investigation between WADA and @WorldRugby has resulted in anti-doping rule violations being confirmed against six players and one member of the athlete support personnel from the Georgia national rugby union team, and a loss of confidence by WADA in the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency due to a number of breaches of the World Anti-Doping Code. tinyurl.com/yba5aerd
