🇮🇷 Iran just published a detailed map of undersea internet cables running through the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as highly vulnerable.
- At least 7 major undersea cables pass through the strait
- Over 97% of global internet traffic for e-commerce, cloud services and communications runs through them
- The report describes the strait as a "vulnerable point for the digital economy of Gulf countries"
- Similar cables in the Red Sea have already been disrupted during the conflict

@WAServers The drought monitor takes into account more than just recent precipitation. It also uses groundwater wells, soil moisture, streamflow anomalies, which are below normal in much of VA, as well as crop reports from farmers. More rain will help, but it will take time to recover fully
