Weathering, Erosion, Deposition unit ✔️ Students have been learning about the three different concepts through a sort game and sugar cube lab! Today we discovered if a mountain will last forever? ⛰

Happy Apple Week!! We had a fun time learning about how different kinds of apples, have different colors & tastes. We chose our favorites & graphed them as a class! Granny Smith apples took the W! 🍏🍎

We rounded out our apple fun with some apple print painting & reading fiction & nonfiction books about apples!

Field trip fun! Today we visited Koteewi Park and learned about the first Native Americans to Indiana 🐟🪵🍂🍃🪨🏹

End of unit celebration calls for bookmarks incorporating the strategies they learned about!

This week is all about putting first things first. This morning we talked about what it means to prioritize and be prepared. Students were also introduced to organizational tools to help them each week:)

Today we made book trailers! Check them out 📖 👀! #funfriday

Attach 3-4 strings to a marker and tell the kiddos to write or draw something! You would be amazed at the communication, leadership and creativity!

Stick it together! Students had to work individually and then as a team to answer their groups question

Our class took time this week to really study their Writing Binders and Leadership Notebooks and how we met our WIG. The kids were stunned by their own growth and progress; it IS pretty stunning! Thanks @thomashakim13 for cheering them on!

Year one ✔️ A year full of many unknowns, but also a lot of constants. Constant support from an amazing team, and constant laughs and smiles from the 25 beautiful minds that filled the classroom. First year teacher ✌🏻
