Dubious Distinction: Washington State continues to make National News for the wrong reasons. Last year, Legislative Democrats passed HB 1696, which gives racial preference in $120,000-$150,000 forgivable housing loans, for being the “right” skin color, which excludes people of Asian and European descent. Horrible News: WA Democrats killed Sen. Boehnke's legislation to fix a dangerous ruling from the WA State Supreme Court (SB 6203). Our hyper-progressive WA State Supreme Court ruled that criminals in other countries have a blank slate on their record in Washington State in July 2025. Criminals from other U.S. states don't have a blank slate here, but now criminals from other countries now do. It defies logic.
