like that block % would be incredibly terrible for a front court player. And cam is a 6’9 250 pound forward that doesn’t have explosiveness. I doubt he ever plays serious wing minutes and never guard.
Again this isn’t to shit on Cam, I have him as player 1B and think more likely then not he’ll be the most winningest player from this class. But just trynna clean up this disgusting freight train of analytics> hoops
English

@duragactivitty Well the filters at the top include stl % and block % and those are clearly filtered to fit cam in the mold. Especially weird considering these are guards and play making wings and I bet you not a single one of these GMs in the lottery think of Cam as a Guard or a Wing
English

I love Cam but those Blk % and Stl % were carefully filtered to make him apart of this group

Cam Boozer is going to be an ELITE point-forward in the NBA
English

I think his point of the post was grouping him in w all these other “great point forwards” cause that’s what his caption was *excluding Kyle Anderson.
I just thinks there’s currently a pollution in nba twitter of analytical guys that use %s as the basis of basketball instead of a tool. And most of the time they filter these numbers to fit whatever agenda they want to push.
English

You don’t have target transferring his skills to a wing or center. He’s fine where he’s at. He’s a very unique player that everyone’s comp seems to be off being to wing based or center based.
I think people just need to stop over complicating him and just call it what it is. A unique modern day pf prospect and it clearly worked more than great in college so he doesn’t have to try and be like anyone else. It will work
English

I’m not concerned about him being a liability at any postion he plays offensively or defensively. But what I’m saying is if your version is to put him at the wing. You’re more likely to get a high level role player/ Starter.
You play him at the 4, you’re much more likely to be getting an allstar/ all nba player. He’s not a wing, he’s not a big, he’s a tweener. Quite possibly one of the best tweener prospect there has been but that’s his cap
English

@wayuphunt Defensively tho im much less concerned about the foot speed than the verticality which is why I say wing. How many wings in the nba are talented enoug to generate consistent offense on him, vs at the five his lack of rim pro can really hurt a team
English

I mean there’s no question marks regarding Cam being the most high feel player in the draft and that’s clear. But Cam is not a wing, he’s a 6’9 250 pound Power 4/ small ball 5 those block % are extremely low for a 5 and the agenda is comparing him to wings and big guards stats when he’s a tweener clearly.
I like Cam and have him as player 1B on my board. But spreadsheet guys, specifically (that use it as a basis only with no eyetest involved) guys have a weird way of throwing up %s they custom fitted to an agenda.
English

With his slow feet and lack of explosion. Campinh out at the wing would sig bring down his rebound numbers. Agree to disagree on that.
But I really don’t think there’s a single team that’s drafting that is picturing him at 3 or even the 5 he’s very clearly a 4, that can stagger small ball 5 minutes
English

@wayuphunt I just flatly disagree with this. Running him at the 3/4 HELPS a teams possession maxxing because positionally he’ll be the best rebounder at the spot itl. His team influence on reb% from that spot will be historic compared to just good at the 5
English

There’s no chance Cam is a wing lol. His feet are skilled but slow. He weighs 250 pounds and clearly his point of attack is facilitation thru physicality being a bruiser.
He has no explosion or fast feet to being an NBA wing. Of course he could log minutes in that area but no gm is planning to run him at the wing for his prime use. That also nerfs him on maybe his biggest skill in possession maxxing with cleaning the glass
English

@wayuphunt Cam is a wing. He may get mischaracterized as a small ball five since he played that for duke with Pat out, and he can certainly survive in the league there, but his skillset screams wing even with concerns about his foot speed
English

Can’t wait for analytic Grifters to put absolutely insane takes out about this guy

NEWS: Santa Clara's Allen Graves is staying in the 2026 NBA Draft, he tells DraftExpress. Graves, a projected top-20 pick, swept WCC Freshman, Sixth Man and Defensive Player of the Year honors, turning down significant NIL offers to start his pro career.
English

@Hurtsknowsball so then this just holds no weight? Because it’s tinkered with customarily to fit an agenda?

REPORT: Jarrett Allen might be sent to the Lakers if LeBron joins the Cavaliers:
“A sign-and-trade for LeBron would undoubtedly involve Jarrett Allen ($28 million), whom the Lakers have targeted previously in trade rumors.”
