@HaurakiGulfWx Oh thanks for that, wow how did I forget Marcia... I think for some reason I thought it was Cat 4 or below by the time it actually made landfall. Luckily within the X time limit to edit the post above!

@WeatherWatchNZ I thought Yasi was the last cat 5 to cross Qld as well 🙂but I looked into this further and TC Marcia crossed Qld near Yeppoon on 20th Feb 2015 as a cat 5 accordingly to the BoM's officially report

🌀🚨#CycloneNarelle is now a severe Category5️⃣ tropical cyclone. The only positive is that #NARELLE is likely to hit one of the most remote parts of coastal Queensland. There are still small towns/people in the path though.
